As the Director, Microsoft Manufacturing Industry Solutions, Mark works across Microsoft’s global manufacturing clients to help them innovate, improve their performance, develop new services, and grow their business. His work with leading manufacturers in discrete and process industries focuses on innovation and PLM, manufacturing execution and operations intelligence, supply chain, sales and dealer management systems. Healso shares Microsoft’s perspectives in manufacturing around IoT, artificial intelligence, mixed reality, big data and supply chain optimization. Recently he has led discussion on digital and precision agriculture and Microsoft’s view and role to help firms become thriving digital businesses that provide sustainable food and nutrition to the world.
He is Microsoft’s liaison to the Digital Manufacturing Design and Innovation Institute (www.dmdii.org) where he manages Microsoft’s participation in projects and research with manufacturers and universities. He is a frequent speaker on topics ranging from Industry 4.0,Industrial Internet of Things, Smart Factory and Connected Manufacturing Enterprise.
He has worked in the Information Technology field for 33 years and the last 11 years at Microsoft. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree, Industrial Education from the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign,Illinois.
