Tiarra Barton is the Founder and CEO of Aaceses Ihmire Industries. She started Aaceses Ihmire Industries in 2013. She leverages 10 years of engineering and project management experience. She has dedicated her career to developing new sustainable technologies to help improve the human condition as well as the world around us. She believes that continuous innovation of new ideas and technologies is the key to success as well as the longevity and preservation of the world we live in.
Prior to starting Aaceses Ihmire Industries, Tiarra worked as an Electrical Engineering Project Coordinator for AEP (EASI Engineering) where her role was to lead small substation projects and implement project management activities. After leaving AEP (EASI Engineering), she began a new position within the automotive industry at Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems as a Design Engineer in the Research and Development department as the project lead on various projects.
Tiarra holds an Associate of Applied Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from Columbus State Community College as well as a Bachelor’s of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry University. She also holds a Masters of Project Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Systems Engineering from Colorado State University engineering school. She is an FAA UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) Commercial Remote Pilot and is currently a "Pilot in Training" for her private pilot license.
She is a member of the International Council of Systems Engineering, BWISE-Chicago (Black Women In Science &Engineering), National Society of Black Engineers, The U.S Woman's Chamber of Commerce, IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and the Central Ohio African American Chamber of Commerce.
